According to an article from Bloomberg Business Week, in a pole based on metrics like school performance, green space, and cultural amenities Raleigh, NC was recently named the best city in America. This would come as no news to the residents of the swiftly growing, but when ranked number 1 compared to bigger cities such as New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles this is a biggie. An experience in Downtown Raleigh is like no other. It is a place that puts you in that "awe" moment in your life that you will never forget. There; you will experience folk dances, Greek food, and live Greek music form the Greeks of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. This event will be held at the Exposition Center. The cost of this event is approximately $3, but may vary by age. The portion of the proceeds of the entry money will go to the Habitat of Humanity of Wake County. So… get ready, get set, go GREEK!
Once you have gotten enough Greek in your system you can try attending one of the many great theater plays that Downtown Raleigh has, such as Black and White Swan. This play will be held in the Progress Energy of Performing Arts Theater, and the ticket cost will run you around $30-$75. This play will only be available this weekend so you better hurry before the black swan hunts you for not coming to see her. DUN! DUN! DUN!
On a more sporty note you should support your local football team if you're a NC State fan and join the screaming crowd at the Carter Finley Stadium when the rival against Alabama State University on this weekend.
